From Hurt to Healing: Help Theodora Thrive Again

Theodora, lovingly called Teddi, has already endured more than any young cat should. She had been living outside under the care of a kind Good Samaritan when tragedy struck. One morning, he found her in terrible condition, degloved. This means the skin on part of her back leg had been torn away, exposing tissue beneath. It is a traumatic and extremely painful injury that requires urgent surgical care.

Kitty Kisses Rescue had already closed intakes due to being at full capacity, but when the veterinary clinic called asking for help, they could not turn their backs. Even though the rescue is stretched thin, a new foster stepped up for Teddi without hesitation. What the rescue does not have are the funds. Taking on Teddi’s case will be costly, and they simply cannot cover it without support.

Teddi is now safe in foster care, but she still needs life-saving treatment. Her pain is being managed, but surgery and advanced wound care are essential. Without it, she faces the risk of infection, decline, and continued suffering. This sweet, resilient girl has already fought so hard. Now it is time for her village to fight for her.
