About this campaign

Thomas has been a joy and a light in our lives since he was a pup. Over the last three years he has shown us a heart of pure gold. He loves everyone he meets, is the biggest snuggle bug, and the best friend his bother and litter-mate, Charles, could ask for. The two are inseparable, from cuddling, wrestling, and causing mischief around the house, there’s nothing they don’t do together.

In our family, Thomas is a steady and strong source of unconditional love. While his brother is loud and rambunctious, Thomas is quiet, gentle, and often prefers to sit on our lap while his brother runs up and down the hallway. He is curious, attentive, and is often found looking up at the sky at trees, birds, and planes.

Thomas’s prognosis is optimistic and he continues to fight, but relies on ICU care and oxygen support. He needs time, however our financial situation limits how much we can give him. Your support will help give Thomas the time he needs to overcome and return to our family.

On June 1, 2021 we returned home from a weekend trip to find our boy suffering from sudden facial paralysis. Unable to eat or drink on his own, we rushed him to the ER. He has since been treated for an autoimmune disease and on heavy steroid therapy. Our boy is a fighter and has regained jaw function but now suffers secondary valley fever infection.

Humans are Thomas’s spirit animal. When we meet neighbors and their fur babies at the park, he is more excited to greet his human friends then their fuzzy companions. He is a goofball and always puts a smile on the faces of those around him. He enjoys the simple pleasures of life from looking for lizards on walks and scavenging for dried leaves that mom and dad try to keep him away from.
