Thor is a 12 year old Mix-Breed in Alpharetta , GA, who needs $2,000 for Perineal Hernia Repair.

Thor joined our family when he was 8 weeks old. He quickly wormed his way into our older dog’s heart and has always kept him happy. When my husband passed unexpectedly almost 4 years ago, Thor was the one that helped me make it through my horrible grief. He is highly empathetic and would come to comfort me whenever I needed it, getting to me before I even knew I needed him.

Thor was diagnosed this week with a perineal hernia which requires surgery. It has already trapped his colon which makes it extremely painful for him to go to the bathroom. We have been told by North GA Veterinary Surgery that it will cost around $4600 to do the surgery. Without it, he will have a bad quality of life. We just aren’t ready to say goodbye but can’t really afford it.

Thor is a loving and loyal friend. He loves to cuddle up with his brother, Loki. He has never met a stranger. He loves kids and everyone in the neighborhood knows his name and loves him. He is 12 years old but you would never know it because he’s so spunky.

This is an unexpected expense and we have no savings as my son and I had to have dental surgeries recently. With the fairly recent loss of my husband, I don’t think I can do it again with Thor.
