my painted lady is a part of a long line of felines we've cared for through various periods in our lives. ive had her since she was just a wee sprout. i watched her be born. she's spayed and primarily indoors and has 0 outside alone time (naughty). she lives with a healthy collection of other creatures.

recently my best girl had a tooth infection. at the time we could only afford one week of antibiotics... i think it's now escalated into a kidney related issue (frequent and unusual peeing, not eating and really wanting water but not able to drink normally). we've been visiting dodd animal hospital who provided a quote for IVs and a longer antibiotic regiment.

tiedye... she truly is a cat's cat. a bit aloof, enmeshed in her own world that i have the privilege to live in and only has something to say when needed. she's the opposite of her littermate who screams and barrels into everything... i only realized anything was wrong when she started spending more time with me than usual... i admire her sense of self greatly and i enjoy her beauty so much.

i am on medical leave, my family is already low income and disabled and with one person working we are barely getting by. i spend the last of my income on taking her to the vet and have 7 dollars to my name right now.
