Tigerlilly, AKA Tigger was rescued outside a museum in a semi-desert area in West Texas. She was abandoned by the mother. When she was found, we treated her for worms and got her cleaned up. She’s highly expressive and can be spicy some days, but generally she’s a snuggle bug.

Recently she endured a flesh wound under mysterious circumstances. She’s mostly an indoor cat but might have been hurt by a neighbor animal. The damage to her neck and throat is extensive, with tissue a scratched out and continual bleeding spells. We took her to the ER but they declined to assist further when we explained our budget. I’m a substitute teacher and her adoptive mom is a grad student.

Tigerlilly is a patrol cat. She parades around from window to window alerting us if an intruder is coming with growls. If everything seems safe she will sit in your lap. She LOVES playing with cable ties for some reason! Large ones (that she can’t swallow) are her favorite so she can toss them in the air, hit them, and then dart after them.

With my wife and I both in education. We pour into others in our school/work environment but we don’t make much money.

We can afford minor emergencies and routine checkups, but the special surgery Tigerlilly needs is far more expensive.
