About this campaign
I first met Tiggy when she was three months old, when my roommate adopted her. My roommate's boyfriend began abusing Tiggy, so I took her away and she was raised by my parents and younger sister. Tiggy is now 17 years old with sever IBD and my parents are no longer able to take care of her. Since I have medical knowledge in caring for senior cats, I welcomed Tiggy into my home.
Tiggy is a shy cat and likes to mostly be left alone. Tiggy enjoys the sanctity of her bedroom where she sleeps under the bed, but will sun herself on top of the bed whenever she can. She is beginning to socialize with me more and sleeps by my feet at night! She loves chin scratches and has the most beautiful purr. She will come out into the kitchen to sing for food whenever she hears us cooking.
I am trying to stabilize Tiggy. She needs bloodwork & an ultrasound. All the jobs I had offered to me in March-April were rescinded because of COVID. I'm applying again, but I'm in a field that is hurt by COVID-19. Until I can find a job, I need financial help with Tiggy.
Tiggy was diagnosed with IBD about two years ago. Unfortunately, she hasn't had the best doctors and she hasn't received very good care. She also has early stage renal disease, a heart murmur (which luckily hasn't caused any heart damage), and anemia. I am much more confident in our new Dr. Tanya Donovan at Animal Medical Center, who we just started seeing in July 2020.
Tiggy will always be that three month old kitten to me. She was just a little thing that was all tail and legs. She was such a wild thing that jumped off my desk and kept me up all night playing. I still remember when she sat on my chest and licked my nose. She is still all tail and legs and I still see the kitten in her face. I love that she still jutts out her chin for scratches.
