I've had Tink since she was a puppy. My mom had a dog that was a Maltese and I just loved him. I needed another dog for my dog Shelby so she wouldn't be alone while I was gone at work. I always thought animals should have someone to play with. So I searched all over craigslist to find the perfect match, and I drove several hours just to see her. She was the last of the litter. They didn't even have to tell me anything about her. I just looked at her and felt her, and it was all over for me. I am very protective of my animals like my kids, and she was never left out of my sight. Even now to this day, I am always aware of where and what they are doing. I loved the breed and thought she would be a great addition to our family, and she was. My kids loved her, especially my son. She definitely loved guys better. She slept in his room every night for six years. She has been with me and her sister for 11 years now and they are like my children. My children are now grown and moved on and my dogs are my only companions now. It would kill me if something happen to them, especially if it was something I could help or prevent.
