Tippy has a ruptured cranial cruciate ligament. Identical to our ACL, this ligament doesn’t have a blood supply to it so the body is incapable of repairing it. Without surgical intervention the joint stabilizes itself via scar tissue, however she will never be fully sound again and her risk of rupturing the other CCL increases 10x.
