Toast is a 4-month-old Chihuahua in Fletcher , NC, who needs $900 for Fractured Metacarpal Care.

This is my daughter's beloved 4 month old Chi mix puppy who she named "Toast" because of his black/brown colors. We adopted him 2 months ago from a family unable to keep him. Toast's been the perfect addition to our family & he quickly bonded with our daughter! Toast lives with my husband & I, our 2 human children, "Axel" a 3 yr old neutered male GSD & "Miyagi" a 8 yr old neutered male Siamese cat

Toast seemed to be made for our family. From day one, it was like he always lived with us! We love him so much but he's particularly bonded with my 8 year old daughter. Toast loves to go each afternoon to pick my daughter up at school. And he loves going to my son's JV football games each week, as he's become an unofficial team cheerleader. Toast loves everyone he meets & everyone loves him back!

Toast LOVES his big brother Axel and wants to rough house with him constantly. Toast loves any toy but sticks are his absolute favorite thing, NO MATTER WHAT SIZE, LOL!

Toast fell from a 12 FT deck, landing on pavement, fracturing his RF paw on 10/20/2023. We were fortunate to receive $150 emergency medical care voucher from Asheville Humane Society & my 15 yr old son kindly donated his $60 savings towards emergency bill. But Toast requires ongoing medical care for several weeks consisting of radiographs & splint changes w/ Fletcher Animal Hospital.

Our family's been homeless over 2yrs causing excessive financial burdens. Our beloved pets provide a sense of stability to our family, especially our children. It's extremely important Toast receives the quality medical care he needs & deserves. We want Toast happy & healthy
