Toby is a 13 year old Chihuahua in Mission Viejo, CA, who needs $744 for Extensive Diagnostics Testing For a Mass.

Toby has had a challenging life. He was a 9 mos old puppy at a shelter who was rescued from another shelter who planned to euthanize him. We don't know anything about his past, but he did come with certain challenges that makes me think he was not accustomed to living indoors. All these years in our care, he has been a pampered indoor pooch.

He has a troubling mass that has changed significantly over a span of a few months. It started off as an abscess, and when it ruptured, I did everything necessary to treat it at home. It started to heal, but for some odd reason a mass has started to grow under that rupture, worsening it. The graphic photo attached, is from tonight. He scratched that area and aggravated the delicate skin(bleeding).

Toby is friendly to everyone. His favorite thing to do when he was younger, was make other dogs chase him. In his younger years he was the perfect agility dog. He grew up with my oldest child, and they shared a deep bond, since they were both babies growing up together. Toby has these big bulging chi eyes that look into your soul. He really likes showers and will lean his neck into the shower head

Unfortunately, his vet expenses came at the absolute worse time. My husband works 2 jobs and one of them has cut his pay significantly. This has caused a huge financial strain. We have tried to apply for credit and grants with no luck. We are running out of options for him.
