About this campaign

My childhood friend has had Toby since he was a puppy. When she moved to NC a few years ago, my family loved to have Toby come over and stay the weekends. As time went on, he just became ‘our’ dog. He is the only dog we’ve had and we love him just as much as he loves us. His prior mom still visits him yet he has definitely made us his chosen family and we are very thankful.

Where do I even begin?? Toby is definitely one of a kind. He loves his human family and has lots of friends. He’s also on the needy side as being alone is not in his nature. He loves sleeping in late as he’s a little lazy and he just wants to have someone sit on the sofa or lay in the bed with him.

Toby knows no strangers. I love his personality (even when he’s mischievous lol). He’s like no other dog I have ever met. One thing we found out since we’ve had him the past few years is that he is deaf. Although his previous owner was not aware, when we realized it things changed. No more yelling at him. We started using hand signals and lights to get his attention and life has been good.

Toby is in need of oral surgery to have his teeth extracted. He will need to be put under anesthesia at Total Bond Veterinary Clinic at Paw Creek. Dr. Spangler said that the sooner he is able to have this treatment done he will be feeling much better. He is currently taking pain medicine and antibiotics to treat the oral infection. If he does not have teeth removed the infection will return.

We were told Toby did not have the best teeth last year at his annual checkup. Not realizing that one day he would be in so much pain and need help immediately. This was unexpected as we were not financially prepared at all for $1k oral surgery for Toby.
