About this campaign

Toby came to my life 6 yrs ago, as an anniversary present from my husband. It has been the best gift I have received in my life. We were not able to have kids, so Toby is my world. He is very spoiled by my parents and brothers, and he loves to watch TV, eat cheese and play with other dogs at the park.

Toby sleeps with us in our bedroom, half a night with us then the other half he goes to his bed next to my bed. Like most dogs, he enjoys being with someone and not alone, so I get to work from home and spend time with him. He loves to go out, anywhere he doesn't really care, he just cares about going on car rides with us all the time.

Toby is very special to me, he has been with me in my worst moments and if it weren't for him, I wouldn't know where I would be today. He was with me when I got diagnosed with CKD stage 3 in 2017, he was with me when i lost my job in 2018, he was with me when I separated from my husband in 2018 and with me during covid pandemic in 2020, SO, I feel super attached to him in every way.

Toby was diagnosed with sarcoma in his limb (peripheral nerve sheath tumor) AND on the roots of his spinal cord. He had his back limb amputated and also had a semi pelvectomy. The oncologist said Radiotherapy was a great option for Toby, to make sure all the microscopic cancer cells disappear. MSCPA Angell in Boston is his hospital.

I have spent around $25.000 in credit cards just to have him a few more years with me. I beg God to let me " borrow" him for a few more years, he is my only fur baby. The veterinary costs are so high, but I am willing to sacrifice everything so I can enjoy our life together.
