Toby is a 12-year-old Maltese cross who came to us as a senior. He'd spent his whole life with an elderly couple who loved him but could no longer care for him. Rather than let him go to a shelter, we welcomed him into our home in Prince George, BC. He now lives in a quiet, loving household with our small family and spends his days close by our side.

Toby was diagnosed with Grade 2–3 dental disease at College Heights Veterinary Hospital in Prince George by Dr. Saporito. Several teeth are painful and need treatment under general anesthesia — a full dental with bloodwork, x-rays, cleaning, and extractions. Left untreated, it causes ongoing pain and risks infection spreading to his organs, so the procedure is medically necessary.

Toby is the gentle heart of our home. He's small, sweet, and endlessly patient — he follows us from room to room, curls up beside us in the evenings, and greets our daughter every day like she's his whole world. After a lifetime of being someone's faithful companion, he's shown our family nothing but calm, loyal love. He asks for so little and gives back so much.

A recent car accident left our family stretched thin, and Toby's dental is more than we can manage on our own. Any help means he can have his procedure sooner and spend his senior years free of pain. Seeing him healthy and comfortable again would mean everything to us.
