Toby is a 8 year old Maltese in San Francisco, CA, who needs $20,000 for Total Ear Canal Ablation (TECA).

Toby came into my life under very special circumstances. His original owner was one of my closest friends, who passed away after battling cancer. Before she died, I promised her that I would care for Toby for the rest of his life.

For approximately four years, Toby has been suffering from severe and recurring ear infections. At first, treatments were necessary every few months, but as his condition worsened, they became more frequent. His veterinarian has now recommended bilateral TECA surgery to relieve his chronic pain and improve his quality of life. The name of the hospital is Banfield Pet Hospital.

Toby is a sweet and intelligent dog that is always intrigued by other animals, whether its a dog, cat, squirrel, or turtle, he is can make friends with anyone. Everyone at the park knows him as "Super Toby." One day, he saved another dog from running into a busy street leading to a freeway. Since that day, everyone has affectionately called him a superhero.

As a senior living in San Francisco, the cost of the surgery is beyond my financial means, and I was forced to postpone the procedure because I could not afford it. To see Toby not suffer and not be in pain anymore would mean to world to me and everyone who loves him .
