About this campaign
I got Toes as an early birthday gift way back in 2009 - My sister and I both got a kitten when my cousin's cat had a litter. Unfortunately, my sister's cat passed years ago, but Toes has stuck it out. She's been with me for 11 years now and is the love of my life, still as cuddly and loving as ever.
As much as I want her to be an indoor cat (she is older and unfortunately moderately overweight, which I've just started to work on in preparation for her surgery) Toes loves the outdoors. Only for a couple hours at most, every other day or so. But she loves people and puts up with my grandma when she likes to 'play'- meaning she just tries to annoy the poor cat whenever I'm not around to stop her
With the world situation as it is I haven't been able to get back to work in a long time, and my savings are depleted. My family has been in poverty my whole life almost and we could barely afford the exam cost, let alone this. I want my baby to have a long life by my side
She went missing for an entire week, and when we got her back her leg was hurt. Her hip is badly dislocated and needs to be amputated, unless we can get enough to save it, but that cost is around double what the amputation costs. The vet wants to do the surgery as soon as possible to relieve her of her pain.
My cat is very special to me for so many reasons! Not only did she never let me leave while she was kitting (before I had her spayed) but she has, on a few occasions, tried to save my life! Sure, burnt popcorn or an overheated pan isn't lifethreatening but it didn't stop her from trying to get me to follow her outside to safety!
