About this campaign
My story with Toffee began April 25, 2019 when her and her sister were abandoned and severely ill. Toffee was evaluated and diagnosed with intestinal parasites and fleas, infectious distemper virus, and a congenital defect of the brain or toxicity. As she grew older, she developed severe hip dysplasia. I have had Toffee for about a year and we currently reside in Louisiana.
Toffee loves everyone, including strangers, and will make that known! She loves playing with other puppies at the dog park but has recently had trouble playing with others due to her severe hip dysplasia. She loves to give kisses and will jump on you with both arms to give you a hug. She is the biggest sweetheart that you will ever meet.
I am currently a full time law student with a restriction on how much I can work due to the fact that I am full time. We have recently experienced several destructive hurricanes here and Toffee needing TPO surgery came at the worst time. Her health means the world to me.
As a puppy, Toffee had a rough life. At only a few weeks old, she was a neurological puppy. She was unable to stand, weak in the rear legs and had whole body tremors. The cause of her neurological tremors were not known. She had intestinal parasites and fleas, infectious distemper virus, and a congenital defect of the brain or toxicity. As she grew older, she developed severe hip dysplasia.
My puppy is special because she is my registered emotional support animal. Being away at college by yourself can be lonely and she is always there for me when I am homesick, sad, or feeling down. She can always sense my feelings and will lick my face or put her paw on me when she senses that I am sad. This is my favorite thing about her and I can't help but to smile when it occurs.
