About this campaign

Our cat Tomas is a 6-year-old Maine Coon who has been fighting a severe and painful gastrointestinal condition for years. He has a history of chronic constipation and megacolon, including previous emergency treatment and colon surgery earlier in his life.

Over the past several days, his condition has worsened significantly. Despite intensive medical treatment, hydration, enemas, and medications, Tomas has not improved. Five days have passed, and the medications are no longer helping. He is uncomfortable, not eating normally, and unable to pass stool on his own.

Our veterinary team has confirmed that the next steps are urgent diagnostic imaging (X-rays) followed by likely surgery. The doctors have advised that a subtotal colectomy may be necessary to relieve his suffering and give him a chance at a normal, pain-free life.

This decision is not taken lightly. Surgery is the last option, but without it, Tomas’s condition will continue to cause him pain and serious complications. The cost of advanced imaging, hospitalization, anesthesia, and surgery is more than we can manage alone.

We are asking for help to cover Tomas’s veterinary care so that treatment can move forward without delay. All funds raised through Waggle will go directly to the veterinary clinic providing his care.

Tomas is a gentle, loving cat and a member of our family. Any support — whether through a donation or by sharing his story — means more than we can express. Thank you for helping us give him a chance to heal.
