About this campaign

Animal Control officers were horrified to discover Tony tied to the fence upon arrival at the shelter, a deep gash covering his back. We don’t know how long Tony waited for rescue to come or what caused his injury, but we knew we had to act quickly.

Thankfully, Tony only lives in the moment, and today Tony is feeling comfortable and loved, recovering in his cushy bed, enjoying his pain meds and his lunch!

Tony was badly wounded, yet patiently hung on for help to come, giving his rescuers kisses, as he uncomfortably attempted to clean his open wound. Tony is a true inspiration, his resilience and forgiveness likely undeserved, but an incredible motivation for our work.

Tony’s surgery was a success! His open would was closed, and a drain was inserted to assist with healing. He also was neutered. His injury appeared to be a clean slice down to the muscle, so it is still a mystery how this adorable boy ended up tied to the fence at animal control, gravely wounded.

We immediately said YES to helping Tony, but we need your help to help to fund so many emergency medical cases. We are restricted as to the number of animals we can intake at any given time depending on the resources we are gifted
