Tory is a 9-year-old Poodle Mix in Cypress, CA, who needs $2,000 for Back & Spine Surgery.

Tory had some issues like luxating patella and cataract when I adopted her 4 years ago. She went to emergency a couple of times due to the patella luxation and finally got a knee surgery last year. At the same time, she was being treated with an eye specialist. Despite all these, Tory was a happy dog, loving to walk and go driving. Never bites, and barks only when strangers come into my house.

Tory is such a calm personality and gets along with people, loving being patted. My life was totally changed after I adopted her. I became outgoing, meeting new people while walking her and joining dog related activities. She made my life full of joy and life. I laugh and cry because of her. She is everything to me and I am everything to her. She's not just a dog but my daughter.

She cries when she feels I am going outside alone and follows me when I come back home. She hides herself when she understands it's time for bath, but comes to me when she hears her favorite words like driving, chicken and egg. Though she's blind due to cataract, she know exactly where to go to get in a car for driving. All these her behaviors make me laugh and smile every day.

She screamed in extreme pain all of sudden last Saturday night, 2/10. I took her to CASE Animal Hospital, and received 3 pain killers. But my dog kept screaming in pain. I took her to the emergency again Monday morning and was advised to see a neurologist. The next day, she was admitted for MRI and the result showed she needs a back surgery. The surgery is scheduled for tomorrow, 2/20.

The total bill is over $13k, and I may be charged more after the surgery. This is way over my budget considering my fixed monthly payments. I applied for CareCredit, and struggle to find other sources to cover the bill. I feel so desperate. Tory is everything to me.
