A few months ago our three kids wrote us letters about why we needed new puppy in our home. They promised to step up and take responsibility. Dog lovers ourselves, we couldn't say no! After brainstorming and voting on names, we landed on Tracker. We brought him home a month ago and instantly fell in love.

Tracker makes us laugh every day! He has such a funny, sweet tempement and is the picture of patience with the kids. At first our older dog Ridge ignored him, but Tracker eventually win him over. In the weeks before the accident, the two have become great friends and playmates! We joke that watching them is more entertaining than watching TV!

A typical puppy, Tracker has an unending urge to chew! The kids monitor him closely, making sure he doesn’t get into too much trouble and giggling when he tries eating silly things like toilet paper. He had so much life and energy before the accident which makes his current state so devastating to witness.

On Easter Sunday our puppy fell out of the back of our truck going over a speed bump. He instantly changed from a playful, energetic puppy to one that just sleeps all day and cries regularly. When we took him to the vet we learned that his femur was broken by the growth plate. She recommended a surgery that is very difficult for us to afford.

It's been a tough time financially for us. Within a month of our pup's accident, our fridge stopped working, we got braces started for our daughter, and paid for our other dog to get surgery.
