About this campaign
I picked up Trappy a week ago from a family who purchased him as a Christmas present for their kids. They decided they couldn’t keep him so I took him in. When I received me, he had a funky little wobble to his step, but wasn’t anything dramatic. I didn’t think much of it since he was running around fine and playing with our other dog who is much larger. As of yesterday, he wouldn’t even get up out of his bed. Vet suspects it started as maybe a small fracture and something agitated it badly enough to snap his bone. He has a broken femur bone, and cannot walk. Little Trappy is currently in a lot of pain. They couldn’t give him any painkillers because of how young he is. There are only two Vets within 2hours of where we’re located that can perform the surgery needed. The surgery was estimated to cost $3000 to fix the bone, other option is to amputate the injured leg for half the price, which I absolutely don’t want to do. We are hoping to raise the funds for Trappy to keep his leg. He’s only 14weeks, and it would break to have to make the decision to amputate his leg. We appreciate any help!
