About this campaign

We received Trappy as a gift when he was weeks old. We recently started letting him out for few hours a day to get exercise and free play. One day last month, he was viciously attached by another animal. Upon taking him straight to the vet, it was discovered that his leg actually popped completely out of socket as he tried to get away. His foot was also crushed. He has a cast but needs surgery.

Trappy is loved by not only our family but anyone who visits. He's full of energy and love to play with his toys. He's patient with out toddlers and is just a great addition to our family. He has his own space and way of doing things. He's an amazing cat with so much life left and we want to see thrive.

Like most families, we live paycheck-to-paycheck. Our stimulus check went toward the $1200 bill to have Trappy's cast put on. We are out of funds and it would mean the world to us if Trappy could get his leg amputated or the surgery he needs to put his leg back in place.

Our cat needs for his leg to either be amputated for $2500 or he needs a surgery to correct the leg and put it back into place ($4000 +). The cast is just a band aid. Its not going to help long term. The vet at VCA Mesa Animal Hospital has said repeatedly that he needs surgery to get his leg to properly heal. I can't imagine the pain he's going through right now.

Trappy is intuitive, He gives just the right snuggles at the right time and he's so smart and wild! We hate seeing him in pain. It breaks out hearts. Its hard for the kids to see as well. We want him to properly heal. Cats are awesome and magical creatures and our Trappy is no different. We love him to pieces.
