About this campaign

Our family found Travis at the San Martin Animal Shelter in August 2017. Since then, he has become the biggest part of our family and the highlight of my 17 year old daughter's life. Just a few months old when we adopted him, Travis has grown with our family and become the sweetest cat we could ever ask for. He has a very cuddly and talkative personality, you can always find him snuggling up.

Travis and my daughter Ciena are attached to each other. He has become her baby in the three years we have had them. Often, he stays in her room. Either laying on her bed, laying in the "nook" she made in her closet for him, or on a beanbag. Wherever Ciena is, Travis is sure to follow. He also has a teddy bear (the only toy he cares about) that the two will play with and throw around.

The other day we saw he was in pain but he had been using the bathroom and behaving normally up until then. When we took him to the vet, we were told that he would need a surgery. We would be so grateful for help. We just want him to feel better.

Travis went to the vet with his second urinary issue. He was diagnosed with feline lower urinary tract disease. This has made it difficult for him to release urine and has caused a lot of pain for him. He had a surgical procedure done intended to make urinating less straining for him. He needs to have a special diet now. The hospital he was treated at was MedVet Silicon Valley.

Travis has a special personality. Every person who has met him has absolutely adored him, even people who say they are dog people! Travis will respond to almost everything a person says to him. He loves to snuggle up with everyone, often nudging his head to theirs and taking all of their personal space.
