Kassidy found Trixie on the Denver streets. Trixie has spent the last year building her weight back, socializing with friends, and going for leashed walks outside. She shares the space with another cat named Kit, who she is growing closer with. Kassidy is currently a grad student, renting her apartment, and is hardly earning income right now due to her school schedule.

Trixie is currently at Edgewater Urgent Care in Denver with appendicitis. She had been sent home the other day, but because the situation wasn’t improving, she is back in hospital with an accumulating bill of necessary treatments and medications. She needs a plasma transfusion and a few medications to improve her current situation.

Trixie is the most friendly cat any of Kassidy’s friends have met. It’s the reason Kassidy was able to easily bring her to home when she was such a skinny stray. She will lay with any person, even if they’re a stranger who just walked through the door. She loves to go on leashed walks through the park, play with her string toys, and relax with her humans no matter the location.

Graduate school is already stressful. To suddenly be dealing with this, has left Kassidy devastated by the stress and dread of potentially not providing the care her baby needs due to financial limitations.
