Trouble is a 1-year-old Chihuahua in Winston Salem, NC, who needs $1,500 for Radioulnar Fracture with a Kirschner External Fixation.

Trouble lives with my family and I. He just turned one year old. I have tried my best to care for him, including getting him checked for food allergies, so that he could recover from his tummy issues. He loves to play. We were currently working on how to play fetch, but his brother likes to steal the ball. I hope they can play and run together again.

Trouble has great empathy; he just knows when someone needs a hug or comfort. He loves to cuddle, even when it's hot. He very curious, so he will always follow whoever is in the home. He also loves to play with is brother and best friend, Piglet, they are thick as thieves. He's such a sweet dog that loves each one of his family members. He has a heart of gold.

Trouble was given to me during a very difficult time in my life; my family did all they could to gift Trouble to me to help me heal from the loss of my first ESA of 15.5 years. Without Trouble I wouldn't have been able to recover. Trouble has become such a great ESA that helps not only with my anxiety (and other emotions), but he helps with my pain management. Trouble was a natural ESA for me.

On January 16, 2022 Trouble was playing in the living room when he jumped from a recliner and slipped on the hardwood floor. Winston Veterinary Hospital has agreed to perform the surgery as soon as possible, but it has been difficult to raise the funds. The vet, Dr. Hofmann, wants to do the surgery on 1/28/2022 to avoid complications from the bones calcifying.

My family put themselves in hardship just to gift me Trouble to help me recover from my loss. Being disabled and without an income has also been financially difficult for all of us. It's difficult to ask for help, but I can't watch my best friend suffer in pain.
