Hello Everyone, Truffles is a 6 year old Shih Tzu mixed. I’ve had her since she was 6 months. My aunt gave her to me at 6 months. We have moved to three different states since then and currently reside in North Carolina. Although she is the only dog in the household, she has a dog sister named Nyla that she loves to play with. My cousin with CerebralPalsy gave her the name, so I never changed it.

Truffles is such a playful dog, until her hind legs started bothering her. She would always play with her toys if you grabbed it and swiped it across her paws. Her tail was always wagging. She loved to go outside and hanging out with grandma, doing yoga with Truffles. When me and truffles walk, I always play music ( she loves when I two step while walking ). She loved beef jerky and ice.

Being with this pandemic, I have been out of work. Especially with my dog being sick for the last few weeks, I’ve been just trying to get her feeling better which feels like a full time job. Really can’t focus with my dog sick honestly, I catch myself randomly tearing lately

Last few weeks, we have been going to both the vet and different emergency rooms. For now on, N.C State Hospital will be her vet. I plan on using this hospital for the surgery. They have her on three different medications, mostly pain medications which they’ve recently increased her dosage. She currently still isn’t using her hind legs, but with surgery she has a better chance of recovering.

Truffles absolutely loves squirrel toys and chasing them while we are outside. Something that she does that makes me smile every-time soon as she hears “ where’s the squirrels “ she gets excited, her tail is wagging and she looking everywhere. She gets so excited over beef jerky, even now being sick. I love how greedy she is, she reminds me of myself. She also watches tv like she understands it.
