About this campaign
Tsunami is a gentle, lovable girl. She is a valued companion for my Autistic child, my grandson. Our vet just informed us that the red sore on her nose that appeared out of nowhere 2 weeks ago is almost certainly cancer. I need to come up with $2000 for the test and biopsy. I could really use all the help I can get. She is our world and it's killing me to even think about losing her.
Tsunami is my only emotional support. She is also the only thing that can calm my grandson down when he has an Autism meltdown. She is a cuddle bug and is the most gentle animal I have ever known. She is the glue that holds our family together. I have many obstacles I face each day caring for 4 family members with severe disabilities. She is all that I have.
She knows when my grandson is having difficulty coping. She responds to him will kisses and cuddles. She loves playing with our cat. She will drag around a thin rope for the cat to play with. She is more human than K-9. I am financially strapped due to the rising costs of everything and this expense or the alternative of losing my baby girl is sending me over the edge.
She has always been very healthy and happy up until 2 weeks ago. Out of nowhere a ulcer formed on her right nostril. The vet said that they believe it is cancer and needs a biopsy and other tests to determine the extent. These test will cost $2000. My children and grandchildren, who I raise and support are voluntarily giving up having a Christmas this year in hopes of saving Tsunami.
I am the sole wage earner for our family of 7. My husband is disabled and is trying to get SSDI. I have a son 23 with a traumatic brain injury, a daughter, 18, with agoraphobia. I am also raising 2 grandchildren. 1 is 9 with Autism, ADHD, and a learning disability.
