My daughter in law knew of a family who had tied up their female dog outside in which the was in heat ,so the dog became pregnant. My daughter in law took 1 and battle fed it some one else she knew took one and I took Tubby. He was the runt and his belly was round and that's how he got his name. I have 2 other Chihuahua mix dog's. They and myself included have been very very distressed since he has gotten sick. I think that they are a lot smarter than we give them credit. They provide me with more love and comfort than i could ever repay them. It breaks my heart to be unable to instantly take away his sickness.
