About this campaign
Moving out and living on my own for the first time I found myself very lonely and browsing dog rescue groups. That’s when I came across Tucker and I knew he was the one. 3 years ago I adopted Tucker from kaleidoscope K9 Rescue. Tucker had been badly abused and was underweight. He had grown up in a barn and did not know how to be a dog.
Tucker lives with me and his bff Griff (our cat). Griff and Tucker or inseparable. Tucker is an old soul and loves to spend his days napping on his king size bed right next to Griff. He enjoys short walks and trips to the dog park. He loves going for car rides to visit his grandparents and dog friends. Tucker is the BEST boy
Tucker had a rough start to life. He never got the opportunity to be a puppy because of the abuse he endured. He is the most gentle old soul you will come across. He wants to be friends with every pet no matter the shape or size. He truly is a special dog.
My favorite thing about Tucker is how his tongue is always out and how he cherishes his plushies.
While I was away at a wedding Tucker was being pet sit and ate a dish towel. It was no one fault, but it was unexpected behavior from him. He towel got stuck in his intestines and he had to have emergency surgery to remove it. Things are still touch and go as he may need another surgery is the stitches do not hold or if the remaining intestines die off.
I have already covered $2,000 of his bills but given my current situation I am struggling to cover the 4-5k that is still left to pay.
Each day Tucker is in the ICU is another 1k. Tucker deserves to live the longest life possible.
