Tucker is an 8-year-old Dachshund Mix in Index, WA, who needs $2,000 for surgery to remove cancerous tumors.

Tucker came into my life almost 9 years ago. He was a gift from my daughter. At first I was not very happy with her for bringing a dog home. But the second I looked into those puppy dog eyes, he had me. Hook, line and sinker! I had no chance against such cuteness. He was the best gift I've ever gotten!

He has been right by my side through so many hard times as well as good. He is my "happy pill" always turning my frown upside down. He just brightens our days and has been the best dog anyone could ask for. When I walk in the door he is always there to greet me, holding something in his mouth.. a squeaky toy, my sock, I never know what he will bring.

This was not an easy decision - it is very expensive and will only extend his life, not cure the cancer. We are ALL as a society going through a lot right now and I know this pandemic has put a tremendous stress, financially on us all. Any and all donations are greatly appreciated

After a long conversations with our Vet and our Oncologist we feel the best choice for tucky is to have surgery to remove the tumors and follow up with chemo and as he is otherwise in good health!

For such a little guy he has always believed he was bigger then any other animal and never scared of anything. He shows no fear when protecting his home, his friends or his family. He even chased a momma bear and her 2 cubs away from our tent a few years ago. He is very protective of the goats too
