About this campaign

Tucker came to us in a garbage bag, in urgent need of medical care.

Surrendered in a garbage bag with his intestines protruding, Tucker’s owners felt helpless about what to do – until we stepped in to provide him with emergency medical care and rescue relief.

We can’t imagine the pain this sweet boy is enduring – in a strange place not understanding what is happening to his body. Tucker is suffering from a rectal prolapse, a condition where part of the large intestine comes out the rectum, usually from a weakening of the muscles that support the rectum.

Please consider a donation towards Tucker’s hospitalization and surgery at rbari.org/medical. We are hopeful that Tucker’s prolapse can be surgically corrected permanently and that there is not an abundance of necrotic (dead) tissue. The surgery is extremely intricate on delicate skill and must be done by a specialist at a 24-hour specialty hospital to give Tucker the best chance of success.

Your gifts allow us to provide comfort and dedicated medical treatment to Tucker. We are so grateful for your friendship at a time when so many deserving animals like Tucker come to our door helpless and in need of urgent care.
