About this campaign

I adopted Turnip from Muttville last August. She came as a 7-year-old stray from Stockton but we don’t know much beyond that. She had some back pain and a heart murmur which seem to have resolved. At first I attempted to foster her but she crawled into my heart and I foster failed! I’m so glad we did.

Turnip is so cute, and so sweet. She’s protective and very nervous about noises and new people, but once you get to know her she is the most snuggly girl and will crawl into your lap for cuddles. She loves walkies, sniffing and peeing on everything. After one year of being with us she learned how to play with toys!

Turnip likes to “tippy tappy” or dance when she gets excited. I’m also teaching her how to hold things in her mouth. She is sprightly, gets the zoomies, and is excellent at jumping into cars (which is how she leapt into my heart)! She is probably as loud and vocal as a husky with a smoler, high pitched vocal range.

Turnip was diagnosed with epilepsy. She has experienced five seizures, with the last one lasting about eight minutes. We’ve been treating her at an animal hospital and will be going to a specialist for a neurological consult. We hope to figure out if this is idiopathic epilepsy or caused by a growth/tumor.

I had prepared Turnip for a dental but not for an MRI, which will be a large expense! I want to make sure we’re giving her the best care possible and not missing anything.
