Tut is a 9 year old Tonkinese in Milwaukee, WI, who needs $2,000 for Biopsy of Laryngeal Mass.

My parents gifted me with Tut and his sister Cleo when I was 15. I was going through a hard time at school; I was severely bullied and depressed. I was also still accepting my father’s death. Tut is now 9 and has been with me throughout my time in college and living away from home. He has been present for a lot of my firsts as I navigate adulthood. He is truly such a sweet cat!

Tut has always had some breathing issues but unfortunately was rushed to the emergency vet back in January of this year for what we initially thought was asthma. However, Blue Pearl diagnosed him with a laryngeal mass a few months ago and Madison Specialty Veterinary recently quoted us over 2k in order to perform a biopsy on the mass so we can determine if it is cancerous or another ailment.

Tut loves everyone. Truly everyone. He has a half sister named Cleo who he is bonded to. I have a third cat, Yzma, who he tries so hard to love despite the fact she won’t allow it. Tut weighs about 15 pounds but makes it a point to lay directly on my chest- he’s basically a weighted blanket. Even now at his sickest moments he makes it a point to seek me specifically out to lay with me.

I’m a government employee who does not have the opportunity for overtime.I am also at the low end of the government pay scale. Unfortunately, I have not been able to find a better paying job and took the job so I could receive medical care for my own consisten health issues.
