About this campaign

Tux is a border collie we rehomed during Covid. He came off as aggressive and the family couldn’t keep him any longer and no one wanted to buy him. They talked about putting him down back then if no one would step in. That’s when I met tux. Every day has felt like borrowed time, but with training and time, he’s transformed. I can’t quit on him now.

On 7/19 Tux became frighteningly woozy, lethargic, and had bloody urine. The incredible emergency vets at Mountain West Veterinary Specialists were sought out. They determined that Tux was in life or death crisis with Immune Mediated Hemolytic Anemia. They walked us through his chances of survival and we decided we had to at least try and save him.

Thanks to them, he is getting the meds he needs

My girlfriend, now wife, got me Tux for Christmas 5 years ago. This little buddy is my first pet, I remember my wife telling me that he would be the best thing, but in 12 years it would hurt. But having a dog in my life would be worth it. Getting a 12 year

Now, I may not even get 12 years with him.

It all feels too soon. And I just want more time with him

We’re just out of college, I’m on leave due to my own immune condition, and my wife only recently picked up work. The fee’s have already surpassed what we put together for Tux
