Tux is a 10 month old Labrador Retriever in Lima, OH, who needs $2,500 for Hind Leg Amputation.

I am a gig worker and was delivering to a customer. The previous owners asked if I knew anyone who was wanting a puppy and I had just been online a couple days before, looking at puppies for adoption. I wanted my children to experience having a puppy that they could grow up with. I decided to take three of them because a couple other people wanted one too. We absolutely love him!

I have been in the process of training him to not run out the door and purchased a training collar for him. I only had it for a few days and everything seemed to be going well until he slipped out while someone was entering my home. I didn’t get a chance to put his collar back on. He was hit by a car and has a broken femur bone, requiring amputation. I had taken him to Heidt Veterinary Hospital.

Tux is special because he is very sweet and is exited when someone comes over and when we get home. Most dogs won’t allow hugs but I can wrap my arm around him and he melts into it. Tux is a very good boy and loves to give kisses. Tux loves to be outdoors and play fetch.

I am a single mom of five kids. I normally don’t need any help but also as a gig worker I’ve had a lot of car problems, more recently my brakes went out on my car and to repair it set me back.
