About this campaign
Tux is a 4-year-old rescue from Texas, believed to have been abused as a stray (he had BB gun scars that have healed). He came to me fearful of people, noises, and even grass. Now, he’s playful, loving, and full of trust. Tux has helped me survive depression and is my constant companion in a safe, loving home
Tux is critically ill with severe sepsis and is undergoing high-risk emergency surgery. His condition is life-threatening, and even with surgery, his survival is uncertain. He is hospitalized at MedVet in Norwalk, CT, receiving intensive care, monitoring, and treatment from a specialized veterinary team.
Tux is incredibly special — he chose me the moment he stared into my eyes. He’s playful, affectionate, and deeply bonded to me, providing comfort during my darkest moments. Tux is gentle with family and friends, loves cuddles and attention, and his joyful personality lights up every room. He’s more than a pet — he’s family and my reason for hope.
Tux’s emergency bills have already reached $12,000, and I’m struggling to keep up while drowning in student loans and other debts. I’ve been financially independent since 18, lost my dad at 13. Having Tux healthy again would mean everything.
