About this campaign

Ty has had a very hard past before coming to us. He was physically abused when he was a baby by his first owners. A neighbor decided to take him in because his owners were moving back to their country of origin and could not take him with them. That neighbor then became homeless. Ty was living in the streets with this man for over two years. He came into my family when he was 5.

Ty is the most cuddly and fluffy dog ever! He loves to rest, snore and his daily walks. He gets very excited when it's his turn to head out the door. He loves to eat and loves belly rubs for anyone who offers to give them. He brightens everyones day with his cute little walk and his sassy personality.

He is just the best little guy ever. He has been through a lot in his past life and he always shows how happy and content with life he is. It breaks my heart to have to witness him in the state that he was a few days ago when I know how full of life he normally is.

Ty was taken to the vet at the end of July for excessive drinking and urinating and was diagnosed with diabetes. This past week, he was coughing a lot and took him to the vet and was given antibiotics for the cough. He stopped eating and unable to get his insulin. His little body then went into Diabetic Ketoacidosis and he was taken to the Animal Medical Center in Manhattan on August 27th.

His squishy and flat face brightens up my days and always brings a smile to my face. His very loud snore that can be heard from a distance also puts a smily on our face. He had quite a few teeth removed when he was first rescued and has only his canines in the top and bottom rows and the two bottom ones are usually out. He likes to show off his cute little underbite.
