About this campaign

Ty was rescued with his siblings in a barn, and I quickly fell in love with his spunky personality at only 8 weeks old. I adopted him in June 2020 malnourished and ill, and I got him the care he needed to be healthy again. He currently lives with me and my other two cats, where he spends his days playing and snuggling.

Ty is definitely the spunky, wild kitty in my house. He is a huge snuggler and loves to cuddle when you watch tv. He purrs nonstop and loves to run around the house meowing and chirping. He loves to chase his older sisters around and wrestle with them, but also snuggles them and will lick them. He brings joy to anyone he meets and definitely doesn't know what a stranger is.

I am currently a nursing student and am not working, so money is tight. I have paid for Ty's initial vet bills with student loans, but am now worried about affording recent vet bills and my other expenses. He is young, and I am desperate to find a solution to his GI issues.

Ty began vomiting very frequently in December of 2020, and despite multiple medical visits, many X-rays, and other tests, my regular vet was unable to figure out what was wrong with him. He recently saw an internal medicine specialist and was diagnosed with IBS. This is typically treated well with a change in diet, but this has not worked for Ty. He is currently in the ED for further testing.

Ty is very food motivated. The boy has loved to eat since the day I brought him home. He used to break open bags of treats, steal the loaves of bread from the pantry, and do anything he could to get a bite to eat. I even started teaching him tricks as he was willing to do anything for a snack! He now knows how to sit, spin, and jump through my arms!
