From Forgotten to Found: Tyson’s Road to Recovery

You wouldn’t believe it if you didn’t see it yourself—just two tiny eyes glowing in the dark, peeking from the middle of an empty field. That’s where we found Tyson, a little black Lab puppy who had been tied up and left behind. His ear was torn, raw flesh exposed, and his body was weak from days without food. His owners didn’t want him anymore, so they tied him up to a tree and abandoned him.

When we approached, Tyson didn’t growl or run. Despite the pain, he looked up at us with eyes full of hope. We rushed him to safety and began treating his wounds, easing his pain, and helping him rest for the first time in days. He’s now in one of our quarantine rooms, eating small meals, walking again, and slowly learning that the world isn’t as cruel as it once seemed.

Tyson is still healing. He’s on a custom medical plan with a special diet, daily wound care, and Bravecto to protect him from parasites that could put his fragile immune system at risk. Tyson, and every pup in our care, receives individualized attention, because that’s what it takes to undo the harm they’ve survived.

Tyson has adjusted very well into the rescue's quarantine room where he is being treated before he can interact with all the other dogs. He is bunking with dogs Mufasa and Mizo and is happy to be their friend. He is a happy pup and his ear injury is slowly healing.
