About this campaign

On the hottest day of the year in July 2017, I found a tiny, sickly kitten in the middle of the road near a dairy. There were flies buzzing around her. I scooped her up and made sure veterinary care was provided. She was about 6 weeks old but only weighed 1 pound.

Umbra, also known as Tiny Tot, is a shy kitty who really only likes me. Her favorite time to cuddle is at night after the lights are out. Once in a while she comes around family members, but doesn't enjoy being touched by them.

I call her Twisty Tot because she sleeps in the most contorted positions! She also loves to sleep with her front legs stretched way out. When the dogs get up in the morning, she loves to steal their beds.

Jennifer Hostetler DVM at Chestnut Ridge Animal Clinic in Auburn NY is her veterinarian. Umbra was diagnosed with irritable bowel syndrome at 2 years of age. We finally found a food that she will eat and really agrees with her system. However she seemed to have eaten something inappropriate and had belly pain and didn't want to eat much.

I quit my job in November due to a hostile work environment. I have since started new jobs in January, but am still behind from 2 months without enough work.
