About this campaign
10 years ago I wandered into the NYC shelter on 90th street "just to look," but I fell immediately in love with sweet Valentin. He was immediately super affectionate and playful. My daughter was taken by a tiny shy calico named Luna who was his same age, and we brought them both home that day. They were like peas and carrots from the day they met, and still are. I love them so very much.
Valentin was urinating and drinking way too much, but his labwork didn't point to any of the usual suspects, After 2 years of my local vet scratching her head, she referred me to a specialist at Animal Emergency Specialty Center. Dr. Dalby believes he has a brain tumor, probably benign and treatable, but we won't know without an expensive MRI, and then the cost of treatment could run above $10k
Mr. Man is such a wonderful furbaby, playful and ornery. He was always so gentle playing with his sister, even though he is almost twice her size, and is an aggressive snuggler. He loved sitting on my head, went crazy for string, and was obsessed with bags and boxes. Now, he is slow, and needs help cleaning his face.
when I moved to Colorado, I didn't realize how expensive it would be, and how much less I would be making. I struggle to make ends meet as it is, and I'm so scared that I'm going to lose my baby Valentin because of a treatable disease
