Valentina is a 2 year old American Pit Bull Terrier in St. Peters , MO, who needs $1,200 for Drug Toxicity.

Valentina was picked up as a stray along with her seven tiny babies by our local animal control. When the pups were just a few days old, Stray Paws Rescue stepped in to transfer the little family into our care. Now, Valentina is safe and thriving in a loving foster home, where she enjoys spending time with her foster sister while she waits patiently for her forever family.

Valentina got into several medicine bottles, and after discovering what had happened, her foster family immediately sought emergency care. She was transferred to Veterinary Specialty Services (VSS), where the team became concerned about her liver levels, as the amount she ingested was very alarming.

Valentina is an absolute sweetheart who loves nothing more than cuddling and playing with her foster sister. When she’s not chasing toys or wagging her tail, you’ll find her snuggled up on the couch, soaking up affection and happily listening to how good of a girl she is.

SPR has taken in so many medical cases recently, and while we never want to turn any animal away, our funds have been greatly depleted. Our mission has always been to help as many animals as possible — giving them the care they need and find them loving homes.
