Valentine is a 6-year-old Domestic Short Hair in Charlotte , NC, who needs $1,437 for dental infection surgery.

We rescued Valentine after she had been passed around from owner to owner. She lives with my husband and myself and our other cat Fimmion. She’s deaf and looks grumpy but she is so sweet. The cats have a whole room that is dedicated to them in the house filled with toys, cat trees, food and water etc.

She is like another part of the family. She was previously abused and was so shy when she came to us, but now she is a kind and gentle and happy lap cat. She enjoys sitting on the couch and snoring as well as flushing the toilet with our other cat. They both love to flush the toilet. Valentine also is afraid of thunderstorms and will cuddle up with us during them.

Both of my husband and I are working but we both are low income at the moment due to covid reasons. My husband is also an immigrant which required him to wait for a year before working which also has made things tricky.

Shortly after rescuing her, we took her to the vet where we were told she was diabetic, asthmatic and had dental disease. We took her to Mallard Creek Animal Hospital in Charlotte, NC. She has infections in her teeth and her canine is also broken but has not been removed, causing her pain. We really want to help her get better.

She has beautiful green eyes and loves to head butt us in the morning. She also loves to watch the birds out the window. Also, she is deaf and she has no fear of the vacuum cleaner and enjoys riding on it. She loves to run and play and lay in her cat tree. She enjoys watching the neighbors and sitting on our laps whilst we read.
