Valor was found eating trash on the streets of Rio Grande City, Texas. He was extremely emaciated and had tumors on various parts of his body. Saving Hope Rescue took him into their care and got him to Fort Worth, Texas.

After being evaluated, they discovered that Valor would need treatment for parasites, skin infections, heartworms, and needed to help him get back to a healthy weight. When he went in for his neuter, they discovered some devastating news. The vet discovered a tumor in his testicles that had metastasized to his blood cells and lymph nodes. His caretakers were heartbroken.

In the short few months Valor has been in our care, he has been nothing but a delight. Valor has been in a foster home frequently visiting the vet. He absolutely loves his foster siblings, and adores being around humans, especially kids. He loves to cuddle. While waiting for the vet one day, his fosters discovered he knew how to sit, shake, and lie down, meaning once upon a time, he had a family.
