Velvet is a 3-month-old Catin Vacaville, CA, who needs $2,000 for Surgery to Repair Two Broken Legs.

Velvet wasn't actually my pet at all. I found her freezing outside my office door, struggling to hang on. Rushed her to the vet where they determined she'd been hit by a car. She has two broken legs and needs surgery, which I cannot provide.

Velvet is a sweetie. She's taken quite easily to everyone in my house. She's pretty quiet and just loves to cuddle. We haven't known her very long, due to the circumstances but my daughter already wants to adopt her.

She sticks her tongue out, and leaves it out. It's adorable. And currently she has this ridiculously long cast on one of her legs which makes her look so pathetic and cute at the same time.

Velvet is believed to have been hit by a car. She has two broken legs, some nasty scraps down to the bone, and her hip was displaced. The emergency Vet was able to reset the hip, but the legs will require surgery. She is scheduled for UC Davis veterinary hospital tomorrow. I do know the name of the doctor but i'll update here when I can.

We're looking at $6,000 out of pocket when this is all said and done. I'm trying to do the right thing for this sweet animal, but realistically I just don't have that kind of money. My daughter will give her a loving forever home if we can get her back healthy.
