Vicky just finished heartworm treatment and suffered an unfortunate side effect- a growth that now needs to be removed and tested

Vicky is one of the most gentle and loving dogs we’ve ever rescued. Despite everything she has endured, she radiates sweetness and trust. But her life has not been kind to her. When D&A Animal Rescue found Vicky she was painfully skinny, crawling with fleas and worms, and so weak she could hardly stand.

On top of all this, Vicky tested heartworm positive. We immediately started treatment, determined to give her the second chance she deserves. But just two weeks after completing treatment, Vicky began showing signs of pain and struggled to walk. Soon, a hard lump appeared on her back. Heartbreakingly, it was a complication from the injection.

Now, Vicky needs urgent veterinary care to treat this painful complication while still continuing her recovery from heartworm disease. D&A Animal Rescue is a small, volunteer-run rescue, and we cannot do this without the kindness of supporters like you.
