About this campaign
Violet came to us in Minnesota in 2020 from an animal rescue out of Oklahoma, possibly from an abusive situation. She had scars all over her body, has a large tear in her ear, and is scared of strange men. Those that know her refer to her affectionately as "Stinky," for her ability to clear an entire room. She lives with her big little brother named Baloo, her mom Amy, and her dad Devon.
Violet loves sharing a bed and sleeping under the blankets between mom and dad. Shes a big time cuddler and loves watching Bluey. She’s very good finding new ways to convince mom and dad to share their food with her. She loves visiting her aunties Courtney and Abha, and they love to spoil her. She has many best friends including her brother Baloo, cousin Axl, and old neighbor Kona.
Violet is a unique girl who snorts like a pig, enjoys spicy food, and prefers snoring on the couch over going for walks. Her favorite activities are eating and cuddling with mom. She’s scared of everything from loud noises to her own farts. She’s a gentle soul who loves kids and baby animals and has never hurt a fly.
Violet is epileptic and is on a very strict regimen of medications. She has been in urgent care numerous times over the years, and is currently at the University of Minnesota Vet Hospital in the ICU due to a cluster of seizures that were not responding to her medications. She is currently not able to see and is “mentally inappropriate.” She is in need of an MRI and spinal tap, and possibly more.
This hospital ICU stay is a large, unexpected expense that has left us in a hard spot. She is worth every penny and we will do whatever we can to make sure she gets the care that she needs and deserves. She's our baby and we desperately want her home safe and healthy.
