Violet is a 2 year old American Pit Bull Terrier in Burleson, TX, who needs $2,000 for ACL Surgical Repair.

I adopted Violet a little over a year ago. She was covered in mange/sores and couldn't even open her eye. Despite all the pain she was in she was still so sweet and loving. Over the course of having her I've worked hard to help her heal physically and emotionally from the things she had to endure on the street.

Violet has torn her ACL. This happened while she was in the yard playing and chasing squirrels as usual. She is very good at running, but stopping isn't her thing. She often goes end over end in her enthusiasm. I didn't see her fall but the pain was immediate. We called and got her into the vet. The news was not good. Her back leg needed a major surgery so she could walk without pain.

Despite everything she has been through, Violet is the most loving cuddlebug you will ever meet. She loves peanut butter and tug of war. She refuses to sleep alone and worms her way under the covers where she snores all night. Violet and I moved in with my parents some months ago as I am going to college and working part time. My parents love her as much as I do and fight over evening walks.

I was struggling to handle work and school. Living at home helps so much and Violet has a huge yard to play in! I cannot afford this surgery on my own. I would appreciate anything anyone can contribute so that I can get my girl walking again and chasing squirrels once more.
