About this campaign
Violet currently has a degenerative vertebrae disease, the animal hospital has recommended that she be operated on, but we don’t have the money for the surgery. I am currently deployed with the USAF. Violet is such an amazing dog and truly part of our family. Her gentle nature around kids has made her able to bond with our kids from the time our youngest was born.
From Oakland animal hospital in Rochester, MI and Blue Pearl neurology, Presenting Complaint: Violet presented for hind imb weakness. Sunday night Violet did not want to walk, was pacing, and acting painful. Monday she was unable to real stand.
Violet is simply an amazing dog, all three of our kids are in tears at the thought of her passing. Our youngest who is 5 would try to walk her as soon as she could walk, and Violet would never pull her down. She knew that a little one was holding the leash and would be so gentle. I just deployed to the desert and this happened, my kids are volunteering to help carry her outside so she can relieve.
This sudden expense is beyond our ability to afford. I’m heartbroken and 6000 miles away, unable to help my wife and kids. We do not want her to suffer and we don’t want to have to put her to sleep. The prognosis has a 80 percent chance of being successful. We can’t afford.
