About this campaign

Violet is a domestic shorthair cat who was originally placed in foster care through the Peninsula SPCA before I adopted her into her permanent home. She is an indoor-only, single cat living in a stable and loving environment with a consistent daily routine. Violet was previous healthy until her most recent accident.

Violet was seen at Ocean Avenue Veterinary Hospital in April 2026 after ingesting foreign material, causing a life-threatening gastrointestinal obstruction. She required emergency surgery to remove the blockage. Violet is recovering well following surgery and is currently stable under post-operative care.

Violet is a friendly and affectionate cat who has formed a strong bond with me since adoption. She is very social, often follows me around the home, and enjoys spending time nearby or sitting with me. She is playful and curious, sometimes mischievous, but responds well to routine and interaction. Her presence provides comfort and companionship in my daily life.

I am a student preparing to begin my Master of Social Work (MSW) program. The unexpected emergency surgery for Violet has created financial strain, leaving me in debt and making it difficult to fully prepare for graduate school expenses.
